Here is a sampling of the genetics we utilize.  Space will

Ruby Lee is a 1/2 classified, red, full sister to Sex Appeal. Ruby Lee has averaged 12 viable embryos per flush. She has worked well with Cherokee Phantom, Cavalier, Sequoyah, and Power House. Females from these matings are available for viewing on the ranch. We are currently using a **Cavalier x Ruby Lee son as one of our herd sires; both he and his calves are looking great.

After proving herself to be fertile and functional under years of adverse conditions on our ranch, we have twice flushed DCB 3169 to **Classic Cotton. On her first flush she produced 22 embryos.  21 embryos were #1 quality and1 embryo was #2 quality.  Her second flush produced 19 #1 quality embryos. Several of her heifers have been doing quite well on the JBBA show circuit. (See our Show Circuit Update). At nine years of age, DCB 3169 still has one of the best udders in this breed; she passes this trait to her daughters.

Every calf produced by this cow has had excellent conformation. Cross Creek 135 was born on the ranch and raised, unpampered, under drought conditions. She calved as a 2 year old, and produced five calves in five years from natural service under range conditions. She has proven herself to be a fertile, functional cow who is consistent in producing quality calves. One of her heifers is featured in the Show Circuit Update.
